Operation Encompass
At Leyland Methodist Schools, we are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of every child in our care. That’s why we take part in Operation Encompass, a national initiative that helps schools provide timely support to children who may be affected by domestic abuse.
When the police attend an incident of domestic abuse where a child is present, they will share this information with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) at the child’s school before the start of the next school day. This allows us to offer appropriate support, whether that’s a listening ear, extra care, or other help to ensure your child feels safe and supported.
